SERIOUSLY?? How am I the first one to review T.C.B.Y? WOOHOO ~ :) I was so happy when I saw that there was one out near me. This place is tucked away in a strip mall behind the Chili's off of 75th street. I just LOVE frozen yogurt! It is so much better on my stomach than ice cream. Having to watch my dairy is hard enough so thank God for frozen yogurt. It's a little store that is hooked to a Blimpie. I have not tried the sandwiches from them yet. One day I may. Ok back to the frozen yogurt. They usually have four choices a day. I believe they even offer a low or no sugar one as well which is great for people that are diabetic. They offer 3 to 4 sizes. I usually get the small one because it is still plenty for the $2 or $3 bucks and change that it costs. I was craving pumpkin the day I went in and bingo they had it there. It was SO good. The flavors were amazing to me. I was a happy girl that day! They offer toppings and assorted cones as well. They also sell frozen yogurt cakes. Yum! I will have to buy one of those at some point. Check them out if you have not already.

Not happy. Went in to buy a birthday cake and while I was there asked if yogurt was gluten free since a guest at birthday is on gluten free diet. Owner didn't know. Seems like something they should know. On top of that the cake was horrible. So freezer burnt even the kids only had a couple bites and left the rest.

I have never been to a TCBY, so decided to see if this really was "The Country's Best Yogurt". I'm not sure if they stole the concept from Menchies, Red Mango, etc or what, but they sell by the ounce here. As mentioned, never been to one, so not sure how they did it back in the day. Anyways, the format is the same as a Menchies or wherever you get self-served FroYo; you have several choices of flavors where delicious tasty FroYo spews slowly out at the pull of a lever. It reminds me of the Chuck Norris lever Conan O'Brien had several years ago (google it, if you don't know wth I'm talking about), but a tastier version of it. The employee behind the counter was SUPER verbose about how things worked there and was super friendly and nice. She explained how everything worked and what happens when you pull the middle lever, which gives the concoction of the left and right flavor. She even checked-up on us while we were seated, to make sure all was well. The flavors here are better, IMHO, than the FroYo I've sampled at other places. The cupcake batter was less rich than the one found at Peachwave. They had a really good Red Ruby sorbet which was extremely good! It was not bitter or sour, but had the right tang to it that made the sorbet just delicious. I also had some of the vanilla and the cupcake batter. They also had some cool topics like Reese's (my go-to) and caramel toppings. Overall, a good alternative to Menchies or a Red Mango or Peachwave. At this location, they charged 59-cents per ounce.

I can't believe I've never reviewed TCBY!! I've been coming since they opened in the 1980's! We always get our favorite- the White Chocolate Mousse. The owner always seems to be present and working. It's clean and he seems to take care of everything. The thing I have an issue with is how expensive yogurt / ice cream places have become nuts! My Mom and I went in to get a tiny one after eating at Gong Ho- we needed something sweet! It was $8.50 for 2 tiny cups!!? I don't come too often since I moved but it was worth it!

I haven't seen a TCBY in the longest time. I think they've made (or are starting to make) a comeback, but there aren't any near us currently. Back in the day growing up, we had one right down the street. I miss having it around. I even remember the pleasant jingle "The Country's Best Yogurt...T-C-B-Y..." So, when we saw this one this weekend, we had to make a stop in. This location is combined with a Blimpie's sub-sandwich shop. The TCBY side still has the soft-serve yogurt options, but offers hand-scooped yogurt as well. I was ecstatic to see the White Chocolate Mousse soft serve, since that's what I would always get as a kid. Ordered a small cup but it was a generous serving, and I devoured it...tasted as good as I remember. We also tried their Rainbow Cream hand-scoop (similar to Rainbow sherbet), and the plain soft-serve chocolate. All delicious. And all under 2 grams of fat per serving (1/2 c serving, I think). They have a variety of other flavors and you can sample all of them. There are cakes, pies, and pre-packaged yogurt tubs at this location that you can purchase and take home. I was tempted, but didn't since it wouldn't have lasted on the trip home. There is plenty of seating inside and we'd planned to just pick up and go, but ended up enjoying the yogurt there. We'll definitely make it a point to stop in next time we're in the area. I might have to scope out other locations closer to us as well...I honestly do think it's the country best yogurt!

Brings back happy California memories as a child. I use to love going to TCBY for a treat when it was 90 and above out. Summers were brutal and TCBY made it seem better. I was so happy and surprised to see this little gem show up on my yelp nearby. I seriously left Ikea and went straight there. They usually have different flavors at different times which gives you a good reason to go back. I had the white chocolate which was heaven in my mouth. I thought the mint flavor they had tasted too much like toothpaste. Anyways, their servings are generous and so are their toppings. Compared to the froyo place near my place this one knocks them out of the park. I would pick TCBY over them any day. I'm just sad they are all the way out of the city or I would go more. I've heard there is a TCBY about a mile from me but it's not confirmed...guess I need to confirm this ASAP.
